KalaPreeta was born from a lifelong love for art and a deep admiration for women who continue to learn, lead, and grow through every stage of life.
Growing up, I was surrounded by strong women who taught me that ambition and compassion can exist together. The greatest influence was my mother, Kalpana—a woman who built a fulfilling career, continued her education throughout her life, embraced change with courage, and balanced family with unwavering determination. Watching her taught me that a woman's journey never stops evolving.
Those values became the foundation of KalaPreeta.
As a child, I found love for art—for colors, handcrafted details, and the beauty of thoughtful design. Creating something of my own was always a dream. Life, however, had its own rhythm. A career in education, years spent abroad, marriage, motherhood, and caring for my family meant that dream quietly waited in the background.
Like many women, I discovered that while we often dedicate ourselves to helping others grow, we sometimes forget to nurture our own dreams.
Years later, I chose to begin again.
KalaPreeta is that beginning.
The name itself carries the heart of our story.
Kala means art and also honors my mother, Kalpana, whose strength and spirit continue to inspire every step of this journey.
Preeta means love, and is inspired by the name my loved ones lovingly call me—Preeti.
Together, KalaPreeta represents a love for art, timeless craftsmanship, and the women who inspire both.
